That is the VTT part of the job. Worldbuilding, optional AI and the rest of the toolkit are all on the homepage if you want them, but none of it is required to run tonight’s fight.
5e rules in the same campaign
Character sheets, spells, monsters and items live right next to the map. The SRD reference at /lookup is public, so you can search it before you sign in.
QuestMaster is a web app for Game Masters running tabletop RPGs, with full Dungeons & Dragons 5e support. If your group only plays Pathfinder, this is not the tool for you; Foundry and Roll20 both cover a very wide range of systems (Roll20’s homepage on 2026-09-18 puts it at 1,200 and counting).

Optional AI, off until you want it
When you do want drafts, the tutorial is /help/api-keys. The paid plans do not sell AI (billing explains what they do sell).
If what you wanted was an AI to run the session while you play, that is a different kind of product altogether (Friends & Fables at fables.gg, as of 2026-09-18). This page is for human DMs.

- Roll20 is a browser VTT with a free Base tier; Dynamic Lighting starts at the Plus tier, $5.99 a month (Roll20 subscriptions).
- Foundry is a $50 license, paid once, that you host yourself (foundryvtt.com/purchase).
- D&D Beyond is the official toolset; its free tier includes Maps VTT, with Hero from $2.99 a month and Master from $5.99 a month (D&D Beyond plans). Books are sold separately.
